We will start with all of the positives first... Happy Birthday to Scott tomorrow and Happy Anniversary tomorrow too honey. We are also leaving on our family vacation in a few weeks also and we can't wait to hit the beach and spend some time together escaping all the daily reality.

Thanks for all the phone calls checking on our sweet doggie. He is doing great, stitches come out Saturday, he is back to his old normal grouchy self, he looks really good. Collin too has recovered from strep, he finishes his medicine tomorrow and no one else got it this time.

On to Miss Camryn....we had our post-op check today and we came out of there knowing she will have to have one possibly two more surgeries. Her eye is still droopy everyone agreed that the eyelids are not even, however, if you cover Camryn's left eye (the good one), her right eye opens and is still a little lower but it is open. Once she has the ability to have both eyes open, she squints that right eye. This is hard to explain but basically, she has favored that left eye so long and the right eye turns inward, that she doesnt want to use the right eye. So the plan is we patch the good eye for one hour per day to try and encourage her to open the right eye and maybe also straighten it out. We go back in one month to see the surgeon and our regular opthamologist at the same time and see if the patching has helped. If it has, we will schedule a surgery to do another lift of the eyelid, this time cutting on the outside. If the patching has not helped, she may need eye muscle surgery to straighten her eyes out and then after recovery from that, have her eyelid lifted again. WHEW! A lot to take in but we feel that her visual field is limited by her head tilt as it is so we want what she can see to be the best it can be. Please say some prayers that we are making the right decisions for her in the long run as well. Basically we are again in a wait and see mode for at least another month. We will start patching tomorrow and I can tell you she will HATE it but we are giving it a try. The surgeon took a picture of her with both eyes open and her eye looks droopy as ever, when she covered the left eye, that right eye alone was wide open, it was amazing. Thanks for checking on us and Happy 4th!
