Hello friends and family! I hope this message finds everyone healthy and well! Our very busy, very blessed month of May is starting to slow down a bit and I wanted to give you an update!
Cammie just celebrated her 6th birthday!!! Big sister Mackenzie has now turned 11 and little brother Preston is now officially 3! I have a birthday tomorrow but we won't say how old I will be! :-) What a fun birthday month it has been! We had a wonderful family birthday celebration this year instead of doing 3 separate parties and it was just perfect! Grandma Dotty and Papa were here from Nebraska and Uncle Eric, Aunt Kirsten, and cousins Katherine, Emily, and Hannah were here from Colorado! We were so happy for their visit and the kid's big day was very special! Cameryn told me last night at bedtime as we looked at her calendar that hangs by her bed that she wished that every day was her birthday. I told her that every day with her IS a celebration--that I thank God every single day for her--each day is like a birthday, a new day, a precious gift of time and opportunity to share together. What a blessing!!
Our birthday month brought some fun new presents for the kids! Grandma Dotty and Papa gave them a trampoline and they have been having a blast on it! Todd and I are having lots of fun, too! We were all surprised (and I do mean ALL of us were surprised) by a gift of 2 puppies from Grandaddy and Grandma Tina! We now have 2 West Highland Terriers named Max and Macey. The kids love them~Todd and I are trying hard! :-) They are very cute but very difficult to housebreak and train! These two puppies are harder than all 3 of my children put together! Ugh! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
Cammie got her ears pierced and did such a great job! She didn't even flinch! She has been fantastic about cleaning them twice a day and following the instructions. I haven't had to remind her a single time! She has it all marked off on her calendar when she can switch earrings! Too cute! We got her hair cut really short (I'm still fighting back the tears!) and it looks so precious! She gave herself a little mullet back in December and we finally did something to shape it up. We must've cut a good 12 inches off!! Her big blue eyes look even more beautiful than ever!
We attended Cameryn's kindergarten graduation ceremony last Friday and I was overwhelmed with gratitude and pride. Each milestone that is reached with her is something so cherished. She has done so well in kindergarten and is so ready to move forward. Words just aren't enough to describe the joy I feel to see her healthy, happy, and loving life! Thank you, thank you, thank you, God!!
We have got so very much to be grateful for! I ask that you continue to keep Cameryn in your prayers for us. She has an appointment with a pediatric neurologist on June 29th to try and figure out why she has so many bad headaches, and then her next oncology appointment is at the end of July. She has been taking some blood pressure medication to help prevent the headaches and it does seem to have lessened their frequency.
Thank you so much for the love and support you give to Cammie and our family! Love and blessings to all of you!
