HeartBeat 5000

Dear Friends & Family,

Almost eight years ago, during our stay at Children’s Hospital Minneapolis with Cameron we learned about the HeartBeat5000 benefit.  We made a promise to each other that our family would walk in this event each year to honor our son and the amazing care he received while at Children’s.  We also want to honor and help all the families (many of whom have become dear friends) who utilize the services at Children's.

We are asking for your support in participating in this event by making a donation and/or joining our team. We are participating again as Cameron’s Crew.  The event (a 5KWalk/Run) takes place Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Father Hennepin Bluffs Park.  You can join our team or donate by visiting our fund-raising site  https://secure.qgiv.com/hobnob/team/45830 or by check (please make payable to HeartBeat5000 & put Cameron's Crew in memo) and can be delivered/mailed to us and we will turn in the pledges prior to the event. Net proceeds from the event benefit Children’s cardiac care program.  Contact Rob or Kari with any questions/concerns.  Thank you for supporting our family for this event!

Good luck, to ALL of you. You have helped so many, Kari, along with your husband and Sydney. Every step is a proud step. Blessing's for you and this big day.

We will be there as well. Our daughter died in December waiting on her third transplant, she was 17. I followed your story as we were going through our own. I found it some how comforting in knowing I wasn't alone as it seemed we were both going through the same journey. We are also doing the AHA walk. If you are at either and see the Team Meagan banner please come by and say hello. My name is Cari as well and we live in White Bear, not too far away.
