Hi, everybody. I am sorry I haven't updated in so long. A lot has been going on here. CJ is doing wonderful. He finished his long term chemotherapy on Easter Sunday. Today was his MRI. I will have the results next week, but am not expecting any bad news. His blood results are great and he is even growing slowly. The only side effects we have seen from all he has been through is a slight hearing loss and damage to his thyroid. The hearing loss he can live with. He will be tested again before he starts school to be sure that he doesn't need hearing aids. His loss is in the upper regions so it doesn't effect him much. He receives hormones for this thyroid. They are an extremely low dose so we know the damage wasn't too extensive. He will probably have to remain on the medication the rest of his life, but it shouldn't affect him much. If that is all that remains after all he has been through, we will be thrilled. We don't have to go back to oncology for another month. CJ will continue to have MRIs 4 times a year for a couple of years. He will also have the nuclear scan done twice a year. Other than that, we are 'free' from routine doctor visits. Lisa
