My Story

Hi, I'm Cameron and I've been recently diagnosed with acute pre-b cell lymphocytic leukemia. This website is designed so that many people can be kept in the loop and hopefully I won't forget to keep in touch with everyone!

Let's back up. For Memorial Day, we went to Jacksonville Beach and had the opportunity to catch up with my dad's buddies from school. It was fun seeing the Setzers, Lynches, Hawkins, and Millers all together again! The next day we spent at Moffit with the highlights being able to see Tiffany (the therapy dog) and her owner before having lunch with Ciera. Wednesday we went to the beach to see Tasha and I spent the night there so I could have another day at the beach with the kids. Even though we had some interesting weather, I still enjoyed Friday with Megan at DeLeon Springs and then we watched a movie (don't see Swing Vote...unless you're really bored). On Saturday, Amanda drove down from Gainesville and we had a good time going from downtown DeLand to Target and just talking the day away. Tasha came over again and we had an early birthday party for Teague which was fun. Wednesday, we were back up in Baltimore for treatment and have had doctors appointments each day, but they're really more social visits now because I'm doing fine. My favorite and primary doctor up here is very pregnant and due any day now so it was nice to see her before she goes on maternity leave. Mom and I ventured to Ellicot City, which is an adorably quaint town not too far from here and shopped in the little shops all day. We also went to the "market" here and got wonderful crepes. I had a meeting with my teacher who is wonderful and always has good ideas. My main goal for the summer is to do independent study for a big test I have in October. Today I got my big dose of chemo and we're flying back to Florida tommorrow for a bit.
Hope you're all having a wonderful summer!
