My Story

Callie was diagnosed with DSRCT (Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor) Sept. 2005 at age 17. She underwent extensive surgery, a harsh Chemo Regimen, a Stem Cell Transplant, and 4 weeks of full abdominal Radiation. This tumor is very rare and even more rare in females. We hope to increase awareness about DSRCT so that more research will be put into it.

Ok! I have just had a long talk with Callie's doctor. She assured me that Callie is not in a life threatening crisis. Her Kidney function  has been slowly declining for about a year now. The Ifosfomide that was used during Chemo mixed with the Radiation she had is what is causing this. If they continue to decline there are meds that can be given. She doesn't go back for 3 months not 3 weeks. I will let you know if there is anything else to report.
