On October 7th, 2010, Buddy Portugal suffered a massive stroke to the left side of his brain leaving him unable to speak or move the rightside of his body. Buddy Portugal 47 Days is a personal account of the time that followed his stroke, how we dealt with the situation as a family and the lessons we learned along the way.
Over 2,000 American families will face a new stroke today while millions continue to deal with the aftermath of stroke. Ben Franklin stated; “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” This is morethan just a documentary about stroke; it’s about our families, our lives together, the love we share and how we support one another.
Buddy Portugal 47 Days will be available online this November, below is the new trailer for the documentary. The piece was done in conjunction with the American Stroke Association and is approximately 23 minutes long. I will be sharing the link on the blog, in the meantime, please feel free to send this information to anyone that you think might be interested.
