Hey everyone. It's Naomi Fehr. I talked to Amanda this evening and am updating this for her. Brooklyn's bone marrow transplant went very well. It took 45 minutes, and she was tired and had a good rest during that time. For those of you who don't know, transplants can be EXTREMELY hard on a body. There are many side effects, and Brooklyn has not been spared from some of them. She is having a hard time drinking and eating. Her mouth and throat are covered in sores. She is on morphine to help her cope with that. She has to take an anti-rejection medication every morning by mouth, and they are having a hard time getting her to take it. The doctors say that the sores will be getting worse before they get better. She is also suffering some of the side effects from the chemo and radiation. So, they ask for your continued prayers in this matter. We storm heavens gates... and the Lord answers. She is currently still receiving blood transfusions. Once those numbers stabilize, and start to rise, they will know if the bone marrow transplant was a success. The crazy thing about bone marrow transplants is that Brooklyn's blood type is now different than it was before. On behalf of the family, they say THANK YOU to all those who took part in the BROOKLYN BOWL. There were many guys and gals who played football and were out there for 25+ hours on a cold and wet night to raise funds for Brooklyn. Please continue to pray for Brooklyn and the whole family. Thank you.
