1,095 days, 36 months, 3 years . . . no matter how you break it down, that's how long it's been since our lives were changed. It's the number of days, months, and years Brody has battled leukemia, and endured chemotherapy. It hasn't been an easy journey and Brody's been robbed of many qualities. His body is not what it once was, and he struggles with his self image. He's experienced more disappointment than any child should ever have to experience. His friendships have been affected, and he's endured enough physical pain and sickness to last a lifetime. However, there have been blessings as well. He's enjoyed a lot of wonderful opportunities, and has met a lot of amazing people. He's become an extremely compassionate and caring person, and through it all his inner beauty still shines through. We're extremely grateful for how well Brody has done throughout this journey, and are extremely proud of the young man he's become. Brody, you're my hero, my inspiration and I love you.
