Brigette was in a car accident on December 31 at 5:00PM, a day after her 20th birthday. She moved from St. Francis Hospital to Methodist Hospital to the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indianapolis and finally home (4/04/08). We (the Schutzman family) would like to extend our thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers. (click "read story" below for the full story)

God continues to heal Brigette at an amazing pace thanks to all of you who continue to pray for her. She is now wearing the L-300 Foot drop system and in her words 'It is a miracle'. This was made possible by her teammates and the St. Louis University Community. We thank God every day we put it on. Brigette is also taking a 'New Testament' class at Marian College here in Indianapolis and seems to be doing just fine.
We continue to work with the doctors who are adjusting her medicines and in some cases terminating them. The staff at the RHI Outpatient Clinic have made wonderful adjustments to help Brigette progress in therapy. Brigette's attitude is greatly improved as a result. Thank you RHI.
She was able to make trips this month to St. Louis and South Bend to see her teammates race. She also visited her dear friend Mathew and his parents as his Coast Guard ship docked in Cleveland, Ohio. She went up in a small plane piloted by Mathew and had a great view of Lake Erie and Cleveland (we lived there for 5 years). She loved staying with our old neighbors 'the Connors' who lost power for a week the day after we left. (GOOD TIMING?!) Brigette's goal is to return to St. Louis University in January. We all know God Can ONLY do Great Things so let's not put limits on Him but rather keep praying and thanking HIM for HIS mercy & love.
