My Story

Brigette was in a car accident on December 31 at 5:00PM, a day after her 20th birthday. She moved from St. Francis Hospital to Methodist Hospital to the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indianapolis and finally home (4/04/08). We (the Schutzman family) would like to extend our thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers. (click "read story" below for the full story)

BRIGETTE'S LEFT ANKLE IS BEGINNING
TO MOVE ON COMMAND!

GOD can only do GREAT things!!!

Thanks to your prayers and the mercy of God, Brigette's left ankle (that has been motionless since 12/31/07) is beginning to move when her leg is in the tucked position. The physical therapist indicated that this position is typical when an ankle begins to move again. Eventually it should move on command when the leg is fully extended. The healing continues!

Brigette withdrew from St. Louis University two weeks ago. She found it too difficult to reclaim the past "as it was". Her memories were too precious to tarnish with all the changes she had to adapt to. She departed with GREAT LOVE for the university faculty, staff, and athletic department that have been so helpful and wonderful.

What her future holds is in God's hands. We are confident she will resume her education and begin a new and exciting life. Until God puts that all in place, she is sleeping, exercising, reading, and is going to resume her hobby as an artist. Brigette will write a final note to all of her "prayer warriors" soon.

I can tell you from witnessing Brigette that she is a miracle and that she does pray EVERYDAY for you and your loved ones.
