Homecoming 2008
Bridget had a wonderful time at homecoming. I added some photos of her date, Jordan Ward and EMma, as well as her brother Daniel and his date, Sydney. The kids came over after the dance. It was late when everyone got here but we had the air hockey for them, music etc. . . our neighbor called at 3:40 to tell us it was loud. Everyone fell asleep, I think, shortly thereafter.
It has been a busy month--Maddie had to see an oral surgeon after she did a header from the bleachers into the gym floor. Hopefully, she will be okay--she got the wires off her teeth last week. Abby is playing volleyball, Daniel football, Bridget & Emma basketball and softball, Sophia plays 'round the horn' a dice game with her mom and it goes on. George celebrated his 11th birthday on 9/16. He has had a lot of fun with the air gun he bought with his birthday money.
My brother Mark came in from California for the Texas A&M v. Florida game. Not a good game. . . but we enjoyed the time together. We saw Bradicich cousins at the game, too. Mark brought some wine and San Fran sourdough bread with him. . .mmm. My mom and dad came up and stayed with us for the night and we played some 'bones'--that's dominoes til it got dark and then some. Mark's friend Randy Vrana and his wife, Priscilla and their kids came over. It was very nice!
My sister Elizabeth Ann stayed over after Joe played the School for the Deaf last weekend. We made over 2000 pills. Got all the girls and Daniel made up for Homecoming and we were exhausted. SHe teaches 2d grade CCD at St. Joseph's so she drove back Sat night.
We play Central Catholic this weekend, it should be a good game. Hopefully we will see some of the Elder cousins playing at the game. Go Crusaders!
One last thing--Sophia story--she certainly entertains us. She asked me last weekend out of the blue, "hey mom, how did you know I was a girl when I was born?" Paul said I should have told her the doctor told us so. . . I think she thinks that you just grow into a boy or a girl. She also prays everynight for her cousin Stephen and his wife April who are expecting. She stopped herself on one occassion and said, "hey, April--her name is a month" like she never knew that before. I think she was introduced to the months that week in kindergarten. Anyway, those are my Sophia stories. . .
Have a wonderful week! Please remember all those who are spiritually, mentally and physically in need of prayer. Thanks for the guestbook comments--they always lift us.
