Brian’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

Please save this page and continue to watch it for updates on Brian.  I can't promiss it will be updated daily, but certainly after appointments or major milestones.  Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Brian was diagnosed with Colorectal cancer in Oct 2009. Throughout the past 3 years plus, we as a family, have been fighting this terrible disease. We have been positive and kept spirits high. In the past few months Brian has continued to come across other obstacles in his health dealing with pain. Brian muscled thru it as he always does. He started a new drug for Cancer in Oct and his last scan mid- Dec showed some improvement.

Brian has just applied for early medical retirement at his job.  While we were saddened by this, we know he can not return to work right now.  Brian has always loved his job as a police officer and a detective and we have a wonderful extended family there, full of people that support us! Thank you.

Now I know I just said the last scan showed improvement and it does, however in other aspects of his overall health I have noticed  a decline. It's hard for him to get around and he sleeps a lot, but don't let that stop you from calling him or stopping by to see him.

I would like to thank our very supportive family and friends for all you do for us.  I will keep this as updated as possible, as I know you care about Brian and wish him the best.
