I hear that you are getting strong enough and healthy enough and have long been stubborn enough to return to work!! I am so very impressed with the progress you've made, the obstacles you've overcome, the challenge after challenge you've faced head on (literally)!! God has taken you on a path not often traveled and God's purpose for you has got to be huge as it is by His grace that you have come to this point!! I am eagerly awaiting the chance to talk to you again, your family was awesome to get to know in the hospital :) You should be back in time for National EMS Week...Happy EMS Week Brian...I know it's early but who knows when you'll get this! Thanks for all you do and for choosing a profession that has so many opportunities to benefit people and as you know all to well, it can injure too...thanks for doing the job we all know and love!!!

I am someone that has been in Arizona for the Winter. I have my Kare 11 app and have been following Brian's progress. It is truly amazing the progress he has made. I am sure there are many who have not left messages on Caring Bridge but have been praying for Brian's complete recovery.

It will be a blessing to continue reading his story.

BRIAN NAGEL, I'm so glad that you and your Ambulance partner lived through that crash!!  The reason I have followed you so so closely is that my brother (Matt Johnson) is also an Allina Paramedic, and I know ALL TOO WELL that this could've easily been him!  I've been cheering for you because I truly was happy that you were alive, that you made it, that you have seen such Amazing success with your breathing & alertness & movement & therapies & surgeries, and that you are at this MOUNTAINTOP place right now - with regards to your recovery!!  What a POWERFUL story you have to tell.  God was definitely watching over you & Tim that day.  Keep on keeping on, and who knows - maybe I'll recognize you in your uniform someday when you bring a patient to Abbott Northwestern Hospital.  I wish you all the best in your life, and that you never forget the way God healed your broken body.  Quite sincerely, Michelle Nelson  <><

Hi Nagel family~  I read all the updates when they come and know how blessed you all feel that everything has gone so well for Brian in his treatment and recovery process.  He and his attitude are a testament to his environment and how he was raised by loving parents.  I enjoy the humor in all the family updates!  Everyone has to be so encouraged and inspired by Brian.  Have a blessed day!   Pat
