Hello Brian, and the entire Gapp family,  It has been a pleasure getting to you you all, and I have enjoyed reading all the updates that you have posted.  I pray for your continued success and recovery.  You all are a wonderful family that has showed many of us what it truly means to have a supportive family and the willingness to keep striving for the best.

Way to go Brian.  Thought of you today as I was driving by with Zach getting ready to go to prom.  So proud that you keep on smiling and moving forward, not easy to do when even though it outwardly appears so little has changed but knowing that vision and hearing are different than they used to be.  Reminded me I need to call you mom with some contact info if insurance doesn't cover that might be able to help.

Hello Brian. My name is Tom Dunn and your family and friends
spontaneously stopped by my photography studio during the Fall Saint
Paul Art Crawl. Your brother and Dad told me your story and how you really wanted to
attend the art crawl, but, could not because of your accident. They said
they came to create a video for you to see when you woke up. While they
were there, they found out you had briefly opened your eyes and everyone celebrated! They also
told me of your passion for art and photography. I was really moved by
your story and the support of your friends and family. It just happened
my studio in the JAX Building was the first one they stopped in with the
camera crews. I have followed your progress on this site and have
appreciated all the updates. I am not sure if you are planning to attend
the Spring Saint Paul Art Crawl this weekend (Fri - Sun), but, if you are, I would
like to invite you to the grand opening of my new Studio 242 in the Northern Warehouse. The address is 308
Prince Street 55101. If you are able to stop by, it would truly be an
honor to meet you. If you are unable to make it this weekend, there are a
lot of other opportunities including Lowertown First Fridays and the
Fall Art Crawl. Your story and recovery spirit has been an inspiration!
Take care.

Lovely update!  I will say a special Novena to Mary for his vision for next 9 days. Prayers & blessings to you all. God is good I'm so darn happy he's doing well.  My Hannah's severe concussion was Labor Day weekend 2011.   And while nowhere near what you have gone through I do have slight understanding of the roller coaster of emotions.  She will be 17 in April too so ages very similar. Her journey is on the other end of the spectrum of it all being too subtle to do much with medication or PT or OT which in many ways made it harder.  She still just "lives with" headaches far too often, a much looser grip in one of her hands and minor vision issues but hit home when you said it's often invisible as it is for her, and for her there's a "I'm stuck with this" frustration now post injury.  I still have to pray for my guilt of if she should have gone to ER and Physicians have said Neuro is not necessary yet so it becomes  a period of trust and prayer and seeing recovery is there...it's just slow as a glacier.   That she's off her headache medicine recently is a victory and day by day you string together the victories.   Sounds like Brian is doing that in big ways.  I'll continue to pray for his strength.  I'm glad your Mama /his Gramma --my cousin- Sharon & I are friends on facebook so I could know about it, pray about it, and follow the journey with you all.  Your Faith is inspiring.

Thanks for the update.  Let us know if it would be helpful to use Courtney's FM transmitter we have at home until his is repaired.  It is the same as the one he uses at school during the day.  What is the piece of equipment Brian is desiring.  Wondering if you have contacted the Starkey Foundation as well as they are often able to help out with funding for hearing loss related needs.  Brian, keep up the great work.  I know there have to be days that are more challenging than others.  You have a lot to be proud of, personally and also in your family.  You have all come such a long way down this road of recovery since October 9.

Hi Brian, Dennis, Tina & family.  Thanks for the continued updates.  Our nephew Fr. Matt found a prayer card for Blessed Jakob Gapp in a Cathedral in Innsbruck Austria.  Here is some more information about Fr. Gapp. We had never heard of him before, so thought you might not have either.  Here is a link to more information. We will ask Bl Gapp for his intercession for Brian.  Our prayers continue also.
