SOOOOOO there are a few things I needed to post about......there are a couple dates that everyone needs to make on their calendars. 1st, is the Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk in Kansas City (formerly the Buddy Walk). It's going to be held Saturday, October 24th at Arrowhead Stadium, same as previous years. I haven't set our team up yet online, but when I do I will let you know. It's going to be $25 a person, if you want to get a team t-shirt, and that donation can be done from the website. We had a fantastic turnout last year, and I would love to have more of you join this year!! So put it on your calendars, and I will post as I know more.
Second, we have scheduled the 2nd Annual Brenlee Lister Memorial Softball Tournament. It's going to be held the weekend of August 15th & 16th. We will be looking for volunteers to help with food, set-up and take-down, getting raffle donations lined up, etc. So for all you softball players, get your teams lined up and ready to play. It was such a great success last year, and I love seeing people come togther in memory of our Sweety Pea.
And now, for the final-exciting!!!-news.....(drum roll please).....we found out yesterday what we're having!! But first, I'll tell you everything that we were able to determine. The baby weights 5 ounces, brain development is right on track. We were able to see that the spine looks good, the heart has 4 chambers, we could see the bladdar and kidneys are there and the baby does not have club feet. Its femurs are 23mm long, which I believe is around 1/3 of an inch?? Something like that anyways. And, the sex of this baby? It's a BOY!!! Talk about surprise!! Now we're working on names that have 3 E's, and also a theme for the nursery, and all that boy stuff. Anybody come up with cute names, please let us know!!
