Brandon, Lindsay, & Quads Sauer's Journal
Written Apr 24, 2013 1:47pmI realize that I am very very behind on my updates but I'm going to try to catch everyone up!:) The babies were born March 9th not long after my last update. They were exactly 32 weeks and decided it was time to join the world! Lucas was 4lb 4oz, Silas was 3lb 10oz, Maxwell was 3lb 13oz, and Avery was 2lb 9oz. They decided to switch up their order on their journey to meet us. Silas moved from C to B, Maxwell from D to C and Avery decided she wanted to be the little sister! None of them had to be Intubated and they were not on oxygen long either. Maxwell was on it the longest and he required it for only about 10 days. They all did amazing during their NICU stay. The boys came home after 23 days and Avery after 28. Now they are all home and healthy and growing so fast! They are perfect little angels. We have been so lucky with all the help our family and friends have provided us!! Also the babies have already had their first walk, their first trip to SAMs, and their first concert/trip to Hubers to see their "Uncle Dean" play music on the patio:) they get a lot of attention when we go out but they are always very well behaved. We are all SOOOO happy! Hopefully I will do better with the updates from now on!
Written Mar 5, 2013 10:31pmThe babies are packing on the pounds but they aren't even thinking about trying to come out play. My cervix is completely closed so no babies this week probably, although I am very ready. I think little Avery needsore time to cook because she is about have the size of her brothers. Lucas now weighs 4lb 12oz, Avery 2lb 11oz, Silas 3lb 11oz, and Maxwell 4lb 5oz! That's a lot of baby but poor little Avery is so tiny which apparently is ok for her gestation. There was possibility of c-section this weekend but since the cervix is closed I figured might as well give them more time to grow. Better for them but hard on me. My legs are swollen and my back hurts but in comparison to other stories
I've heard of multiple pregnancies I think Ive been pretty lucky. So I'm trying to tough it out at least another week to give these babies the best outcome possible but Brandon and I are very excited to meet them. He has been cheering me on telling me I'm strong enough to do this along with the support of other family members and amazing friends I think we can make it a little bit longer. Well that's all for now. We will keep everyone posted with possible Sauer quad arrival dates! Thank you for the continued support and prayers!
Written Feb 22, 2013 10:49pmIn ten minutes we will be 30 weeks!!! Very exciting! Everything is going very well. I'm starting to be uncomfortable most of the time but I keep telling myself its worth it. Our goal is now to make 32 weeks! After that point if I'm still doing ok we may try to make it further but were not totally sure how it will go. The babies weights are amazing so the doctors think they will do very well which is great news!! Also we have names for them! Baby A is Lucas George he weighs 3lb 4oz, Baby B is Avery Catherine, she weighs 2lb 6oz, Baby C is Silas Cole he weighs 3lb 3oz, and Baby D is Maxwell Carter and he weighs 3lb 4 oz!! They are getting so big and they move constantly. We are getting very excited to meet them!!
