Brando checked out all with great numbers and we were cleared to fly! How awesome! We had a 14 hour trip from Denver to Budapest with 1 stop flight and we all did really ok. Brandan was so funny, he fell asleep at the Denver airport on my shoulder. He has always been so very comfortable that way. Remember those nights at TCH in the backpack or on my shoulder ;0) we have great practice at snuggling and he always sleeps so comfy on my shoulders ;0) I love it, now he is a tad bit bigger my arms get numb but still refuse to put him down. Love the closeness and the snuggling to hear his little heart beat and his peaceful breath ;0) love it! so he fell asleep and was asleep as we boarded. I was carrying 2 pull-able carry ons on top of one another a car seat and him ;0) we were a site onto the plane and Brandan slept right through it ;0) kind of comical! So we made it and were on the plane for about 2 hours when he opened his eyes looked at me and say: “oh man people, Mommy! Lots of people!” than says “Mommie, Brandan go home!” ;0) Well I was not sure what to say and I was pondering on the answer he snuggled up and fell back asleep. Like he was telling me "my family is where my home is" It was priceless.

So he slept and watched movies on the rest of the flight did exceptionally well for what I expected I must say. We are now off the plane in Frankfurt going through the security check. Some of you have been in the Frankfurt airport...they have a real tight security since the late 80s since they have had terrorist attacks in that airport. So they have police and armed forces with machine guns walking around on the whole airport. Kind of different than we are used to here in the US. so we are going through one of the security checks, imagine our 2 carry-ons are all open my laptop , my camera, my dvd player all getting checked by different tables luggages open, Brandan's bottles are getting tested as they have liquid (milk) in them I have my shoes, my belt, my jacket my sweatshirt on other tables scanned. While Brandan has been put on a chair without his shoes to wait till they scan me. All of the sudden he gets off (he is out of arms reach of course ;0) no shoes still, goes gets his bottle, and his little turtle luggage and goes "Bye Mommie, I am done" I did not know whether I was gonna laugh or cry, I was in no position in a foreign country to jump as I being scanned at a security check to get my son, nor do they really understand if I try to explain myself in english, and I have a guy with gun next to me and my son is smiling and taking off, he was done ;0) oh I love him so much! He is such a kool little dude! This story will stay with us forever and I will be able to laugh at it for the rest of my life!

We go here and got our car rented, about dropped dead when they told me that to get insurance on it I needed to be able to get a secured 1,400.00 deposit from my credit card down. I had no clue if I had a limit like that available ;0) I am still wondering ;0) but we needed to do it, steeling cars and breaking into them is just part of every day life here.

We were so extremely excited to see my family! My grandma, Brandan's great grandma was in tears and just so sweet as she told me she has been praying that she can see Brandan at least one time before she dies. I just lost it, I really don't want to hear those words but I know that it was part of my wish that she sees him before there is no chance to do so! I hate to think like that but we all know that life can take its turns, at any moment, not just like in hers when she is 84 years old, but in our son's life when he was 10 months old. We learnt to live to the fullest and work on doing it every day; we hardly ever take anything for granted, and love and cherish every moment of joy, gift we receive in our lives forever! These are such clichés but after near death experiences you all change forever! You really do. When you realize how fragile life is and how much it hurts to lose loved ones you never thought can ever be lost! We are just loving to be here and enjoy the time we were given to have 4 generations laugh, smile, share, snuggle, and love one another and what better time than Christmas! How kool!

Thank you for all who has sent us well wishes, emails called, we made it and we are forever grateful for this experience!

Love your loved ones, give what you can to every one of them, love is priceless and takes little effort yet so powerful and so overlooked sometimes!

Think of all who are struggling and share some joy this season if you find it in your heart! It pays back in so many wonderful ways! At the end we are all winners!
