It's been quite some time since we have posted! So much has gone on this last month but thankfully it is all good. We had our Make - A - Wish trip to Disney in September. This trip had to be the most fabulous vacation we have ever been on! I think that this trip was exactly what the five of us needed to finally heal, regroup, and move on. I have posted a few pictures here but there are too many to share. Once I find time to upload to a website, I will let you know.
Bradley has been healthy. I was worried when school began - germs, flu, colds, etc. We will get our flu shots next week.  School has been going well for Bradley. He seems happy. With the increase in his presnisone though, he has chubby cheeks and is eating like crazy!
With that said, Bradley had a follow-up biopsy on Friday. The 2R rejection has improved! He is a 1R which is great news! Because of this, we can now reduce the prednisone. We visit a neuro-opthamologist this week. The neurologist wants him to have a thorough exam because of the location of the stroke. The spots on the brain that were affected also control the optic nerve in the right eye. While we do not see any signs of visual impairment, the doctors want to be 100% certain of this. We will then visit the neurologist in two weeks for a follow up. As for his heart, we do not need to return to clinic for 6 weeks, and our next biopsy will be in three months. I can't believe that we are almost six months post transplant! Bradley is an amazing little boy!
