Hey everyone, sorry I didn’t write a few days ago but I’ve been keeping busy.  Summer school isn’t all its cracked up to be, lots of studying!  Me and Nicole have been getting along just fine, and have been keeping busy with continuing our studies.  My last surgery in May went well.  I had my web spaces in my right hand trimmed, and injections to my face (to soften scarring).  She made my hand look very good; I can’t even see the incisions.  That should about do it for my body, but my face/neck has a way to go.  The removal of scar tissue in those areas won’t be much to look forward to, but the end result is what I’m waiting patiently for.  We’ve gotten back to doing fun stuff when we can, like riding the motorcycle and doing the legion’s poker run this weekend.

I know many of you have talked to me off to the side about stuff, and that is just fine with me.  I can’t really describe everything that has gone on, but I do remember it vividly.  I, in no way, could have made it through any of it without the help/support of family, friends, and the amazing staff at both UNMC and Madonna.

A few special shout outs:

To my Dad, Mom, Shel, and Nicole- I have never had so much support, as you guys coming every day to see me.  I never thought noon could come SO slow, but from noon-7pm I was much more happy with what I had to go through.  We all know that coming home was, unbelievably, one of the hardest parts too but we made it through the wretched pressure garments, therapy and showers!

To the Wyman family, GFD, and GR- I can’t thank you enough, for being there and going above and beyond to help us time after time!  The reoccurring visits to the hospital made my nights.  I’ll never forget those of you that I seen on that day….as well as those who I didn’t see!

To the UNMC/Madonna Crew- Thanks for everything!  Can’t think of words to explain how grateful I am to you and how diligently you did your jobs.  I have learned to love all of my doctors/nurses/and especially therapists.  Their job is not easy, but the pain is worth the end result.  I hope to get back over and visit ya again Sara, tell Chris/Jennifer/Jamie hi!

And finally, to the 3 other guys (Grandpa, Jim, Scott)- Hell yeah, we danced with the devil!
