My Story

Bennie was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma in October of 2007 at the age of 11. He began chemo at the beginning of November. Then in January he had surgery to remove the left kidney, a piece of his lung and a few nodules. Since then he has been on chemo and we are nearing the end of this part of the journey. He is a TROOPER!

Good evening to everyone,
We know it has been a while since we updated and we do apologize.  However, once again, no news is good news. At his last visit all was well. Bennie is now weighing 136 and is 5'51/2"
This is Bennie and I am feeling healthy. So far my summer has been just fine. I've done nothing but take it easy. Just the other day I went to a place called Cheeburger Cheeburger and I ate the pounder hamburger and got my picture put up on the wall of fame. I AM THE MAN! I am trying to work a little in order to prepare for next football season. I will get my port out sometime before school starts.
His next appointment is next month and we will update again at that time. I am so proud of this dude for showing such character.
Love you all and thank you for your prayers.
