Hi! This is my first input to this site. Heather and I were sitting here considering an update. Rather than talking to Heather and her typing in the info, decided more efficient for me to just do so myself.
Shirley and I are here iin Indy with Heather and family for the Easter week celebration, which has been so joyful with their family and kids, their Church family, and friends.
I at times have wondered what the cancer, operation and recuperative time were really all about. Age wise it was a good time to move up a big notch and be with my Lord. Felt at times I was a step of two from making it. But for reasons known only to my Father, here I be.
Not infrequently I have been asked questions by friends, and been able to have input with many others as to what this was all about. There have been many times when I have been able to encourage others facing much the same, or, those who have family going thru it. These conversations, whether on the golf course, in the hospital where I am a volunteer chaplain, Costco, Church, etc., always emphasis the prayers of people, God's amazing grace, and my family's presence, love and support. Each experience affords me the opportunity to share our Lord's love and grace. I am sure that is the major reason I continue to roam around in and on this "needy" world of ours.
Received my latest Cat Scan, etc., results April 4. My oncologist says the "creepy crawlies" continue to be minimal and not moving around at all. (This is Heather...translation: there are spots on the lymph nodes and a couple on the lungs, but none are growing). She continues to put this in the miracle arena and attributes same to God's grace and people's prayers, to which I proclaim praise and thanks for everyone. I'll go back in 3 months for my next CAT Scan.
Thank you for your gifts of prayer and concern for me and my family. Bob
