Dear all,
I find it hard to not log onto Caring Bridge anymore to provide an update on Bob or to read one of the lovely, poignant and funny messages that people have written in the guest book. I suspect others may be feeling the same.
Our family wishes to thank you for all of the kind words said to us about Bob in the last days, weeks and months. It is so good to know that other knew of his goodness, his charm, his loyalty, his laughter and of course, his quirks.
I imagine Bob was very pleased and humbled by how we celebrated his life on Wednesday afternoon and evening, though I do believe he also would have had a few suggestions for us... I also know that Bob would have forgiven us (in time) for any glitches that occured such as not printing his date of birth in his obituary, running short on prayer cards and the lid of his coffin falling off - loudly - just prior to the start of mass. But given these slight and sometimes not so slight mishaps there was love - oodles of it, everywhere. And for that we thank you, his friends, his relatives, his coworkers his fellow dancers. It is you who were able to provide Bob with a rich, full and fun life. And that is what we will remember.
Bob's humbled family.
