I've been waiting until I had more information, and I'll tell you what I know which is something but not much. They did the MRI of her hips and spine, and the spine is ok. The hips aren't but we knew that. They did the procedure under anesthesia y;esterday, and they could move her leg under anesthesia, but said she never would be able to. She presents like she also has slipped capital femoral epiphysis which is the head of the femur is like a scoop of ice cream that slips. However, the xrays never indicated that this was also going on. The Dr.'s have never seen both happen at the same time. Today we had CT scan for a 3d view of the femur and hip. Then they are going to send all the results to the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas for a 2nd opinion. We will stay here doing PT to not lose any ROM and flexion that we have. There will need to be another major bone surgery. We are in the working out the details process, but Blaire just keeps on smiling.
