Bill’s Story

An account has been set up to help cover Bill's medical costs. Click on Read My Story, below, for the details. Many thanks!

If you'd like to contribute (much appreciated as Bill has no health insurance!) write a check to:
"Rupert's Kids".
Write, "Donation for Bill Constable" in the memo area.
Mail to, Benefit for Bill Constable, c/o Rupert's Kids, 757 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46240

The account is a 501(c)(3) which means your contributions are tax-deductible.

This account will be housed at a completely different bank than the Rupert's Kids foundation so there will not be a mix-up of funds between Bill's fund and Rupert's Kids funds.

With sincere thanks, The Constable Family

The memorial service for Bill Schembs Constable will begin at 4 p.m. EST (3 p.m. CST) on Friday, Aug. 13, in the tabernacle at Fountain Park Chautauqua in Remington, Indiana. The tabernacle stage is where Bill first won a talent contest at age 4, played his keyboard for the last time two weeks before he died and, in his 44 years between those two events, staged many illicit, but well-attended and much-appreciated, midnight concerts.
As Bill requested, the service will feature a musical tribute from his dear friends in The ReachArounds, followed by his favorite old-fashioned chicken dinner fried up in the back of a school bus. While alcohol is not permitted on the Fountain Park grounds, friends are encouraged to bring stories and photos of Bill to share during the chicken dinner.
Fountain Park is located about halfway between Indianapolis and Chicago, just a few miles off the I-65 exits of 201 or 205. The address is 6244 W 1600 S., Remington, Indiana.  For directions and a map visit motels include the Super 8 at exit 201 in Remington, phone (219) 261-2883; and the Holiday Inn Express at exit 215 _ 4788 Nesbitt Drive in Rensselaer, phone (219) 866-7111.
In lieu of flowers, tax-free donations may be made to the Fountain Park Chautauqua. Checks made out to Fountain Park Chautauqua may be mailed to Don W. Knochel, 7340 W. 1800 S. Remington, IN 47977.
