Today is Betsy’s 20th birthday! The picture today is from her birthday at the Conrad and Long’s tailgate yesterday at the A&M game. We praise God for her life and for how far she has come since last year at this time. When we look back at the photos on this Caringbridge site and see the picture of Betsy and her friends celebrating her 19th birthday in her hospital room just 16 days after her accident, we are filled with gratitude that God did save her as Psalm 40: 1-3 says: “I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.”
Please continue to pray for Betsy’s healing and recovery, and stamina with her heavy schedule of classes, physical training, household chores, bible studies, sorority events, and just being with friends. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, concern, and prayers…Cheryl
