Sunday was the one-year anniversary of Betsy's accident. Maureen went with Molly’s girl scout troop and visited the Ronald MacDonald house and Riley Hospital. They visited kids and dropped off some gifts and ‘pop tops’. We also hope to stop by the Pediatric ICU with Betsy to visit the staff very soon. We still remember many of the nurses and doctors like it was yesterday. When the doctors told us Betsy would keep seeing improvements for as long as two years, we could not imagine the recovery being that long. Now that she is with us, and there are only slight signs of the accident, it is a great feeling. Her speech is still mildly impacted and her left side still has some weakness, but the Betsy we know is back with us. Also there is still time for even more improvement!!! She is doing great in school. Her grades in school were very good this year and she is playing all the sports and things she loves. She has also been great about wearing her helmet when she rides her bike or skates, as she needs to be extra cautions. As always, we really appreciate the support and prayers. Kevin
