Today is the day we have all been waiting for...we are going home! Neither Mary nor Ben have been home since October 19 and believe me, they are ready to be home again.  Ben is at his final pt class and Mary and I are doing final packing and loading the rental vehicle.  We leave
Denver early afternoon and fly to Minneapolis. From there we will drive to Grand Forks.

Thanks again for all your prayers, thoughts and encouraging words.  You have all been a great blessing to us.  We are ending this leg of the journey and know that there will be many adjustments once we are home.  Yet, we are are convinced that God will continue to be faithful.  He is so good!

The house remodeling is coming along very well.  A huge thanks to Scott Stocker, all other family members, friends and contractors.  The elevator is installed and operational, Ben's bathroom and bedroom are ready except for some final touch-ups.  Many other things are yet to be done throughout the house, but, we will work on those things once we get home.

Well, I need to go.  We'll see many of you soon!

    God bless

    Merry Christmas!

We have had a wonderful time as a family in the past few days.  It has been great to be together again.

Yesterday afternoon we attended Craig Hospital's Christmas Eve service.  Candy, the hospital chaplain, spoke about Mary and Joseph, the shephards and the wisemen all being away from home, but coming together as a family on a very special day.  She compared that to the Craig patients, their families, and the hospital staff, who are all away from home, but who have come together on a very special day as family.  She is definitely correct in her comparison.  There truly is a family feel here, not only on holidays, but each and every day.  We are thankful for Craig Hospital.  During the service Mary was asked to sing a song that she had written.  She did a great job.  It ministered to many people and brought many tears.  After the service everyone shared a meal together.  We all had a wonderful time.

After the meal, our family gathered in Ben's room and shared the Christmas story together, talked and then opened our gifts.  It got pretty late for everyone.  We thank the Lord for our family and that all of us were able to be together.

We pray that all of you have a wonderful Christmas day as you celebrate the coming of our Lord and Savior.  Be blessed!

Woohoo!!  We are all together again as a family!  Yesterday Steven, Brittany, Kaedyn, Daniel and myself (Nathan) flew into Denver from Minneapolis.  It is so great to all be together again.  Ben is doing really well.  It's fun to see his progress after being gone for three weeks.  It is now final, Ben will be leaving Craig Hospital on Friday, January 6.  We are looking forward to having everyone home again.

Thanks again for your prayers and encouraging words.  May you all have a Merry Christmas.
