Bud, Melissa, Trish & family, I don't know how many times I have picked up the phone to call Becky. I do miss her. I look at her pictures (and I have lots of shagging pics) and it makes me happy. She was my best friend - she was fun to be with. I will remember her always. But you are right, Melissa - she wants all of you to be happy and have fun.  She is smiling down on you. God bless you all. Much love, Margarette

Praying for you all as you continue down this road of grieving and knowing that your strength and honesty will help others.  Your devotion was beautiful and I am sure will comfort and instill hope in others in the same place.  Your mom for sure is proud of you all.  Keep on shining and letting God heal and comfort you all.

Love,
Julie Kelada :)

Oh Melissa, please don't apologize for anything....I can't even imagine loosing my mother...It takes time to go through all the phases of grief. Don't even give it a second thought about the cards, those who know you, know how it hurts you that you haven't done that yet and people are more sympathetic and empathetic than you realize. You have been in my prayers so much as well as your family. Let's face it, you will never get over loosing your Mom and don't let anyone tell you you will. But for sure and the great things is, is that your morning will become less and your sweet memories of her will come center stage. I am honored knowing you through these difficult times in your life because it gives me a chance to bring you and your family before the throne of grace and pray, pray, pray....I'm just so blessed to have met you just being a Proverbs 31 devo reader and have really clicked with you ever since that email about what you went through as a child. We are sistas, girlfriend and we are here to encourage one another, hold one another up, pray for one another, laugh with each other, and cry with one another. I am truly blessed knowing you. Maybe one day, I'll get to actually meet you in person, who knows???
May our great God and Savior grant you continued peace and joy, because we all know that the "Joy of the Lord is our strength", and I read so much of you on FB and through devos about what a joyful person you are...
Blessings,
Kathi

I understand this is the last "visual" posting but certainly not an end to the wonderful memories of your Mom. I can still hear that hearty laugh of hers! She was always so happy and fun!
She is breathing God's fresh air now and all of her pain and suffering are no longer. Isn't that comforting to know? Peace to both families. I admire how courageous both Melissa and Patricia and their families were during Becky's illness. As Grammy use to say, "You've earned a star in your crown".

There is something definitively Southern about the shag and those who dance it - gentle, effortless, charming. And these traits are multiplied in those that teach it. Becky seemed to be a gentle spirit with infinite patience for those of us with two left feet. It is such a joy to me watching people do something they love to do with people they love. Thank you Becky for passing on to me the shuffle, shuffle, rock step and all that goes with it.

Melissa,
Thank you for sharing those thoughts and lessons from your Mom. Thank you for sharing some special, personal tidbits that many of us didn't know and for including those of us who couldn't make it to the service for your Mom.
I hope you can hold on to the happy memories and favorite things of your Mom to carry you through the weeks, months, and longer.
Love,
Layne

Becky's service was just beautiful----I could feel your whole families heart aches---Your children are beautiful and so manerly and I know how proud Becky was of them---Their words were so real and heart warming--
She will be missed---But it won't be long till all us old folks will be joining her----
God's Blessings to all of you as you go through the healing process of Becky's passing----
Thank God she is out of pain----Blessings to Buddy as he adjust to his new life alone--But one good thing about us shaggers they are there for him and he will have a refuge to enjoy life again---
Blessing to all ---

It was a beautiful service Melissa, and your words were precious and straight from the heart. I know your mom would have been proud of you, and so happy that you shared her message of faith with all those who were there.  You have been down a long road, but now it is time for you to focus on all those things that your mom thought was most important, your faith and your family. My prayers will continue to go up for you as you learn to adjust to life without her.  I pray many blessings come your way this spring and hope to see you again soon.
