My Story

Welcome.

Raegan was born on January 29, 2007 via emergency C-section. Due to a very traumatic birth Raegan went from being a perfectly healthy baby to severely brain damaged and clinging to life.

Raegan was not expected to survive her first week yet she continues to beat the odds and surprise everyone... especially the docs.

May has been a wonderful month thus far.  The Benefit was a total success and I am proud to say that we raised approximately $5,000.00 for Paigey's Heart!  All of the exhausting planning and hard work paid off.  We are hopeful that the funds from the benefit will go to help other families like ours and in turn make their journey just a little easier.

I am also so very excited to say that yesterday marked the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Raegan's transplant!  What an amazing milestone.  We have made it through an entire year and have only had to spend one night in the hospital.  I am so thrilled at how well she is doing and I am looking forward to marking countless more anniversaries in the years to come.

Raegan is continuing to make progress with her eating and we have finally found some foods that seem to catch her attention.  It is no surprise that my daughter has expensive taste and after having dinner at McCormick and Schmick the other night we have learned that Raegan absolutely loves Rissoto, salmon, scallops, crab, shrimp, creme brulee...... she was a total piggy!  I have already made a trip to the grocery store to try and make some of these dishes for her at home.  Wish me luck.

Hope you all are well. Thank you for continuing to follow Raegan's journey.  It is so wonderful to be sharing so many positive milestones with everyone after all that she has been through.

Hugs from Raegan and Layne!
