Many thanks to all who bought tickets to the pancake breakfast at Applebee’s this past Saturday to benefit Families of SMA!! It was a great success! We served over 200 people and made almost $3000! Yea! Thank you to all our friends and family who helped serve food and sell tickets! We’ll definitely be doing this again next year for a fundraiser! The winner for the 3 night stay in Gulf Shores was a friend of Chloe Bush’s grandmother. Congrats to her! Special thanks to Rhyann Granger and her dad Jeff Taylor for donating the 3 night stay in Gulf Shores! That definitely boosted our ticket sales!
We had quite a busy weekend. We were up by 5:30 on Saturday morning. Went to the pancake breakfast then went to get Logan and Jason a haircut. Once again, Logan cried the whole time, but his hair had gotten so bushy. Way past due for a haircut! (See photo in entry of his new do!) We went home and crashed afterwards. Amazingly, Logan and Landry went to sleep at the same time, so Jason and I got to take a nap as well! That’s rare at our house!
Some of our good friends Robert and Richelle had a bouncing baby boy Saturday night. We went to the hospital Saturday evening to await his arrival. He’s just a doll… coming into this world at 7 lbs, 12 oz. Landry was already eying him!
We were reminded this weekend that people we don’t even know are praying for our little Logan. It’s really amazing. We were walking through the hospital going to see the baby and we got stopped 3 or 4 times by people we didn’t know, but who knew of Logan and asked if he was Logan. Jason and I each have a sister that works at the hospital. So I’m sure that’s how they know of Logan. On Sunday, we visited Jason’s sister’s church to see his niece baptized. We met a few people there as well that pray for Logan. It’s so comforting to know so many people continue to lift us up in prayer. We surely couldn’t do it without prayer!
Speaking of prayer, we had 2 showings of our house this weekend! And guess what?!?! We received an offer! Hooray! It is contingent upon the sale of their house, though. So…new prayer request…the sale of their house!
We’ve posted new video clips of Logan and Landry. They are showing off their talents. Logan is singing away to “The Farmer and the Dale” and Landry is practicing her dance moves. It’s pretty funny. Please check it out on our blogspot… www.j-jpatrick.blogspot.com.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great 4th of July! Thank you to all the men and women who have served our country. Without them, we wouldn’t celebrate our freedom year after year! May God bless you all!
Love,
The Patricks
