Hello! My name is Charles "Logan" Patrick. I was born into my very happy home on October 11, 2006. My mommy and daddy are Jennifer and Jason Patrick. I weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces and was 19.75 inches long. I was a happy healthy baby, so we thought until I was 5 1/2 mos old when I wasn't meeting my milestones.

Hope everyone is having a good week! Thank goodness it’s a short “work week!” In case we don’t post again before Friday, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!! Thank you to all who have served (or are serving) our country so that we CAN celebrate our freedom! What a wonderful privilege to live in a free country! We appreciate all our veterans and those who are currently serving.

Little Logan has been doing better this last week. His heart rate hasn’t been nearly as high and he hasn’t had any fever. We are blaming the high HR and fever on teething. His teeth don’t seem to be bothering him quite as much this week. We’ve had to give him some Motrin during the night for a couple of nights. But overall, the teething seems to be better.

I don’t think I mentioned this in our last update. But my mom and I gave Logan his second haircut a couple of weeks ago. He was getting really shaggy. He did NOT like it! We thought using scissors instead of the hair clippers (as the barber did last time) would help. NOPE! He cried just as much this time as last time. I think he just doesn’t like anyone messing with him. He gets messed with enough from the doctors and nurses, I guess, and just can’t take it.

We’ve been trying to come up with a solution for a swing for Logan. Since he has to be lying flat all the time, he can’t use a regular swing. So Logan’s Gran found a portable hammock that works pretty well for him. Of course, Jason likes it too. I’ve added some new pictures and have a picture of Jason taking over Logan’s hammock J As you can see from the picture, Logan didn’t let Jason swing in it by himself.

We took Logan to Jason’s sister’s pool one night last week. We found this cool “head float” on line and wanted to try it out on him in a swimming pool. I’ve add a couple of pictures of Logan w/ his head float. He didn’t like it at first. But then he realized he could move his legs and arms and started having a good time, I think. We are going to try this more frequently. I’m sure it’s gotta feel good to be able to move those muscles without so much effort like it is out of water. Swimming must have really worn him out because he only woke up 1 time that night!! That is a record for him!! We definitely want to let him swim more often…

A plug for our house…. if anyone is interested in a 4 bedroom 2.5 bath in the great community of Cottondale, please let us know J We are still trying to sell it. We’ve had 2 different people come to look at it in the last few days. Say a prayer it’ll sell soon. It’s so difficult to get the house so perfect to show. We realize the real estate market is tough right now. But hopefully the right buyer will come along soon!! We are soooo looking forward to a flat, one-story house!

Better “hit the hay!” Please check out the new photos of Logi. Have a great week and great 4th! Be safe!

Love,

J, J and L
