It is not until today that I realize the true meaning of the word birth-day. It is today Harlen came into this world and changed out lives forever. We became a team of three with love holding us together.
One year ago today he came into our lives. He lay there with his intestines out, heavy with the drugs being pumped into his veins; with the same strong and knowing eyes. He knew but we just had to learn along the way.
One year later as he plays floor in his superman suit, full from Kay's Ice Cream (his first of course!), I am reminded of the true celebration of a birth-day.
One year ago today I gave birth to a super man, Super Tan Man.
One year ago today people joined together in prayers, thoughts, dreams, and fears because of Harlen. Families, friends, and strangers joined together to cheer him on. Harlen....Harlen...Harlen....
One year ago today this world was blessed.
Thanks again for all the love and support. Your prayers have been answered, he is a strong and growing boy. He eats like a pig, crawls all over the place, plays and whispers/talks to himself, and is all boy! The GI doctor in Cincinnati discharged him last week, no meds, ALL BABY!!!
19 lbs 13 oz, 27 1/2 inches long. Back on the charts, go Harlen!
Check out new photos. Goodbye again.
