Axel and Sylvia, with Joan, a co-worker of Sylvia’s, were in an airplane accident on Saturday, July 14, 2007. They were taken to UMass Medical Center in Worcester with broken bones, ribs, vertebrae, multiple lacerations and bruises. Axel and Joan spent three weeks in rehab but they are all home now and everyone will fully recover.

The new blogsite (http://sylviajournal.wordpress.com) does not have the same feature that Caringbridge has and that sends you an email whenever there is a new entry in the journal. On my new website you can click on the orange square icon on the right sidebar that says 'Subscribe to my feed' - then click on View Feed XML on the next screen. You can bookmark the feed as a live bookmark.

The new website does not have a guest book feature. Instead it has a tiny little text balloon at the top of each journal entry with the words 'comments'. If you click on that you can leave a comment just like in the Caringbridge guest book.

You can read about my trip to Gardner airport on December 30 and other stuff that has been happening since the switch.
