Hello all --- just an update on our tough little bear. We came to the emergency room on Monday because Avery was having a lot of puffiness/fluid retention, nasty poo poos and was very lethargic - she wanted to take a nap at 10am and that alone was a huge clue, since as you know, she is no sleeper! They could not get an IV into her due to her puffiness and ended up taking her to the OR to get it done. Once she was here being monitored her blood pressure readings have been high, however all of her bloodwork/ organs look good and she doesn't have any kind of bacterial infection, so they are speculating some sort of GI virus. We are attempting to feed her pediasure today and hopefully she will tolerate this and we can get home this weekend! She will be most likely starting some blood pressure medicine to keep her pressures in check. Anyway, thanks to all for your support. We have been well taken care of while we have been here- by hospital staff and friends/family/neighbors. We are in good shape.
