Dear Ava, Since I last wrote you had your first birthday, were exposed to bowling and we had Valentine's Day. I am fine with two of those three, but I will always be okay with the love that your family has shown you. Perhaps you've taught us how to love in a new way. Sorry I could not make your benefit, but I know it was a success because your mom worked so hard and nobody can say no to you and your cute face. Auntie Misha let someone else buy her birthday present, but your mom and I will get her back for that later. Don't worry Bean, you'll be on the winning team. Keep working hard in therapy, and always remember that slow and steady wins the race. With determination and prayer, you will continue to make progress and win your fight. Love, Uncle Wheels

Ava,
Well I just read your entry from your mom and that is wonderful news you have gained and grew.  It is very important to eat. Frustrating for mom and dad Im sure with the g-tube feedings as your not as hungry.  William has been through that too.  He finally got his tube out in 2007 he was 5 years old.  We just weighed him tonight to see how much he weighs and he weighs in at 93.8 lbs.  Never would have thought he would have gotten that far.  So it will come it will take time but it will come.
William is doing well in school with his new meds, still not liking school but he does go almost every day, (if he is not sick) The school and teachers are a hard adjustment for him still, but we work through that and you will too.  I keep praying for you that you grow and gain as you are suppose too.  Keep up the good work Ava and one day I hope to meet you and your wonderful parents.

Ava and family,

I am sure glad everything is going good.  I read about you all the time Ava and you and mom and dad r in my thoughts and prayers as you continue to strive.  It is so exciting to hear you do your "1st"

William is doing much better while on his new meds.  He was just diagnosed with Autism along with all of the other things that is wrong with him  developmentally and cognitively, but I have been told and will still continue to believe GOD WON'T GIVE YOU ANYTHING YOU CAN'T HANDLE  I do however have to remind myself almost every day of that and that gets me through yet another hurdle.

You go Ava and beat the odds I will pray for you

Dear Ava, I haven't written on here in a while, so thought I would given that today you are celebrating Christmas with your family. There will be a lot of boxes being opened and paper being torn, but you know you are the greatest gift of family could receive. You are home with them and that's all that matters this year. You've got more battles to come but you have so much to celebrate, so we will focus on resting and remembering that. Always remember that slow and steady wins the race, and don't let everyone give you too much Packer junk. The Patriots clothes look much better on you! Love, Uncle Wheels

Loving Father, I entrust myself to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed & that Ava may be restored to soundness of health and continue to live in your perfect harmony with you and with those around her. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear Ava, I write this is you are preparing for another procedure tomorrow. I am praying for you and your entire family that it will go well. But when I do this what I am really praying for is for you to continue what you have been doing all along- that is beat the odds. You have already conquered so many tough challenges, this is simply the latest one. I have full confidence that it will be successful and you will be home before you know it. Because God and your team of prayer warriors are with you always. I will have my Bible study pray for you and your parents nerves again tonight. I remain confident because like the sticker above my desk at work says, you are a survivor. Survivors persevere and win, Ava Bean. You will win this battle too, because our loving God is undefeated. Sleep tight, little one, and always remember that slow and steady wins the race. Love, Uncle Wheels

Ava and your parents,
I am so glad everything is going so good.  It was a long road but it sounds like everything is going ok.
I just wanted u to know that I think of you every day and pray everything is going fine.
William is doing good too.  We have been down to childrens twice this month for appointments which eventually they will be done but not yet.  He is going to be in the 5th grade this year at a whole new school, new teachers, new aids, new friends, new locker, new room. So he is extremely anxious he is going to be on meds to help him with that.
Keep us updated and glad things are going so well.
