Hello everyone,

I hope all of you are having a wonderful fall! Ashlyn has continued to enjoy good health and is enjoying a wonderful year. I have put several new pictures on the site showing her event filled fall. Included are the performance of her group “The Dots” at the Justin Mychaels Childhood Cancer Benefit, her Make –A- Wish trip to the American Girl Store in New York and other fun times with family and friends. If you wish to buy or download a copy of “The Dots” song “Shooting Star” go to cdbaby.com and search for dots. All proceeds go to the JM childhood Cancer Foundation.

Please take a minute to consider joining Ashlyn’s Angels .The team will participate in a walk on November 15th in Charlotte for Curesearch. The money raised in this event will go to further the research of the Children’s Oncology Group. The protocols of this group were used in the treatment of Ashlyn’s cancer last year. She is a living testimony to the importance of this organization and it’s research. Please go to the below link, join the team and donate at whatever level you can, even if you can’t join us for the walk.

Once there you can click on “events home” for further details of the event.

I am sorry to keep hitting you with request, but there is no adequate way to convey the importance of these two groups to my family and Ashlyn’s recovery. Please help them continue the good work!

Kelly and I attended a seminar on the long term effects the chemo may have on Ashlyn. It was a real wake up call. We had heard all these details before but they don’t sink in when you are dealing with day to day survival of the cancer. She has been doing so good we just deleted this possibility from our minds. We have noticed some issues and Ashlyn will under go some very intensive testing in a couple of weeks to evaluate her cognitive and mental processing skills. Another area of concern would normally be in communication, but anyone who has talked to her lately knows there is no problem there. We are still in awe of God’s great miracle in her healing! Please continue to pray for a full recovery with minimal side effects. Ashlyn will have another full check up in a week.

Again thanks for your love, help and most of all prayers!

Jake
