Well this week has been a barrel of fun, laughs, and fat grams. I have eaten waaaaaaaaay to much. My friend of 35 years took me out for Red Snapper, crawfish etoufee, and peach cobler. I have had smoked brisket, candy bars, shrimp, fresh strawberry desert, and the list goes on. On Tues my father and I went to jail! However, I know that many of you would like for me to have been put in jail but I just visited. I went to the girls dorm with another lady and witnessed to the inmates and told them Ashley's testimony. It was wonderful. One girl got saved. I left Ashley's track with all of them. One in particular really touched me. Her name was constance. She shared her story with me and was in tears. Those girls need the Lord. Prison ministry is a great avenue to share the Lord. They were very attentive and seemed to want to listen to what we had to say. Today my dad and I went fishin. I caught my first catfish. I have never caught catfish just brim, red fish, drum, and bass. Those little creatures are tricky. You think you lost him and bam he is begins the tug o war again! I caught 5 of em. We let em all go cuz we were hoping for the big daddy. I am not sure how big the biggest one was. I am sure it was at least a 20 pounder. :) Dad and I had a great time talking about prayer, faith, and fellowship with the Lord. I think I need to have more faith. We live in such a way now that it doesn't take much faith to get thru the day. When I was growing up we would gather around the couch and pray for groceries to come in bc my dad was in the full time ministry. Money was short. We prayed for everything. My dad was an engineer by trade. When he surrendered to the ministry he left his very lucrative job. We went from the "haves" to the "have nots" over night. It was quite an adjustment. But I wouldn't trade those times. I learned how real God is. I think over the years I have forgotten what a mighty God we serve. He doesn't always give us the answer we want but He gives us what we need. Dad challenged me a lot today! I am fired up!!!! :) Love to all, lisa
