Anya,

It is so wonderful to read of your progress.  It is amazing that you were able to do the Dells walking on your own.  That is sure determination and will power.  I am proud that your efforts are paying off.  I cannot imagine physical therapy multiple times a week.  Continue to work your best there so that your miracles continue.  You are one remarkable young lady.  I feel blessed to have gotten a chance to meet you last year.  I will continue to follow your progress on Caring Bridge.  I wish the best for you in Middle School.

Take Care,
Mrs. Anderson

Dear Anya,
This summer did indeed fly by, but I am so grateful that I was able to spend a few weeks of it working with you at summer school. Keep up the hard work you showed me and you will do great in Middle School! Wishing you all the best with your scan tomorrow. You are kept in my prayers.
Fondly,
Mrs. Wazlawik :)

I have tears rolling down my face after reading this great news.  Anya, you have touched the lives of so many around you.  I am completely humbled, having been your past 3rd grade teacher.  Because, YOU my dear are the true teacher!  You have taught the world much more than I could ever hope to do.  You have taught your friends the true meaning of friendship.  Your classmates have learned what it truly means to work hard and not give up.  Your teachers, such as myself, now see the power of having a positive attitude.  Patience and strength have been shown over and over again to your nurses and doctors.  Your family has further strengthened their faith.  We do not understand why you were picked to teach us all of these things.  However, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing so.  Beneath the tears on my cheeks, I have a smile on my face.  I smile because you've "made it."  I smile because of all of the good that you've already done for this world.  I smile because, there is no doubt in my mind, the good that you will continue to do.  God chose you to be this special teacher.  Although, I certainly wish that it wasn't you that had to go through all of the hurt, pain, fear, and struggle, I smile because I KNOW that you will turn this into something positive.  You've just finished your first lesson of your lifelong 'teaching career.' Lots of love, sweetie!  Mrs. Elbe
