More great news!!

Anthony's chest X-ray was completely free of fluid! His lab work looks great and his coumidin levels are stable! Hooray! Dr.Friedberg was THRILLED with how Anthony looked. Dr. Friedberg is such a kind gentle man who clearly cares so much for Anthony. We are so blessed to have him as our cardiologist. David and I were just discussing how blessed we are to have doctors who are so invested in our sons well being, truly in our FAMILIES well being. Without Dr. Friedberg and Dr. Lautz, who have always been willing to listen to and answer all our questions about Anthony's heart. with patience and with compassion, who always treat Anthony like a little boy first -a heart patient second, who always remember that Anthony has two loving sisters who worry about him too, we would have been lost. I feel like we have always been so taken care of throughout our journey with congenital heart defects and we are so very grateful.

An Amanzing thing happened today. Anthony went up a flight of stairs ( which he really isn't supposed to do but he snuck past us : ) and when he reached the top, HE WASN"T OUT OF BREATH OR BLUE!!! He was just breathing normally. This is stunning. Prior to the surgery, Anthony would be panting and blue after 1 flight of stairs and had started to ask to be carried upstairs before even trying himself. I just can't believe the Fontan has made this much of a difference so fast. WOW!

We had such a fantastic day filled with nothing but good news!! Anthony is just so happy to be home and with his family again. Thank you so much for visiting us and sharing in our joy.
