It appears as if I didn't journal on our July 17th appt. It was a long day with 2 IV's and a separate blood draw to ensure a high potassium reading wasn't just that. All turned out well and Anthony was back to his normal self after about 5-7 days. August 7th - We were in and out at the clinic today. We had the luck of the draw on IV nurses and everything went smoothly this go around. Anthony's tolerance, however, wasn't so smooth. He started about 6:30pm and was sick about 5 times before he was able to hold any water down. Friday was a day of relaxation and he took a 3 hour nap. He continues on Zofran but hasn't gotten sick since the first night. It reminds us how fortunate we are that he didn't react this way throughout his entire treatment. Doctors are amazed each visit that he still has his hair. Although it has thinned considerably, it is holding on so far. We will see what this last batch does with it. Our next step in this will be Aug 28th when we go in for another chest xray and abdomen ultrasound. In the event this does come back it would be in the lungs or at the original site; although the chances of this occurring are quite low. We will then continue on a quarterly checkup schedule; complete with tests and office visits. Once again, thank you all for your support throughout these past few months. We could not have done this without our family and friends. All our love and appreciation - Gina & Jose
