My Story

PTC is a RARE & complex neurological disorder. There is no cure! My 13th surgery involved a shunt at the base of my brain and running a drainage tube through an artery in my heart. It was a difficult surgery, but we hope this shunt system will work better than the lumbar did. My doc and nurse are hugely responsible for why I am still standing, so kudos to Dr. Frim & Sheri.

Hi Everyone....Happy 4th!  Only 8 days until the BIG triathlon! I am getting very nervous....I have been training and every time I feel too tired to take another step or bike another mile I remember HOW LUCKY I am that my shunt is working and I am ABLE to do this.  I know so many friends who are in a great amount of pain and I am racing for all of them....my shirt actually has all of their names on it.

I love you all and i will update after race day.

Take Care,
Ann
