PTC is a RARE & complex neurological disorder. There is no cure! My 13th surgery involved a shunt at the base of my brain and running a drainage tube through an artery in my heart. It was a difficult surgery, but we hope this shunt system will work better than the lumbar did. My doc and nurse are hugely responsible for why I am still standing, so kudos to Dr. Frim & Sheri.

Hey everyone. Hope your 4th Celebrations were fun and safe. I had a great time with Matthew and his family. Matthew and I rode over 30 miles on our bikes this weekend. My butt hurts from it, but it is great exercise and we did mountain-biking on Friday so lots of dirt flying.

My head continues to be a pain. I have been adjusting my shunt with my programmer and I cannot find a "happy place" right now. I am sure it is the weather with the heat and storms, but it is just frustrating. I get tired so easily when my head hurts so I have limited energy to expend on bike rides and such.

I hate complaining about it though.....complaining doesn't make it better and besides that, so many of my friends are in so much worse pain than I am that I feel guilty voicing my headache pain out loud.

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying summer. It goes so fast.

Take care,

Ann
