Dear Mr and Mrs. Basso,

I just wanted to let you know that Anna inspired my Girl Scout Gold Award Project. I remember reading the long hours she spent having chemo and wanted to give the kids in treatment at Children's Medical Center something to entertain them and make them smile. So, I assembled 50 art project bags, 50 library books and authored an original interactive educational coloring book which were donated this week to Children's Medical Center in honor of Anna. Anna is an inspiration to all of us at John Paul II and I wanted to let you know she will never be forgotten.

The Basso family and Anna are true inspirations.  My mother has AML so I know what its like to see a loved one going through cancer.  I am hopeful that one day we will beat cancer (all forms).   I pray for Anna at 12:12 and want you know that your daughter (as well as Maceala) have been an inspiration and touched my life.  I have never met Anna but I can tell her smile could light up a room and it was infectious from all the pictures I looked at.  Her strength, courage, and memory will live on as it has touched my life in ways I can't even tell you all the way in New Jersey.

My name is Megan Hart, my daughter Brooke is 10 years old and has Ewings Sacrcoma.
Last Wednesday we had to run to the clinic in the Bright building at Dallas Children's because she had a fever.  She was neutropenic and was going to be admitted.  After they accessed her port her nurse asked if she wanted to get anything out of the prize closet and she said no, she always says no, because it is all baby stuff.
Then her nurse brought in a box with purple bags in it and told her that one of the patients families had started a box for older kids.  Her face lit up, and I know that you know how good it feels as a parent to see your daughter smile.
She was so happy and chose a perfume from American Eagle.  I had not heard your story and can't tell you how sorry I am for your loss, nor can I tell you how grateful I am for the gift bags.
I wanted you to know that an idea your Anna had made my daughters day a better one and when we were walking to our room she asked if she could choose something out of that box the every time.
What a gift, you provided me with a smiling little girl ( she happens to smell really good too!!!)
Thank you for the smile
Megan

We have shared the great news about this wonderful gift from Mark Cuban to the 1  Million 4 Anna Foundation, which resulted in gaining fans for the Mavs and its owner, as well as many joyous comments for the work of the Foundation.  We'll be working for monetary support up here in Illinois as well. Thanks to all who continue to support Anna's memory, her family and friends.  Barbara and Jerry Redford, Anna's maternal grandparents
