If anyone has heard this before...I apologize. I really do not care to drive in the snow. I get sooo uncomfortable, nervous, okay - a mess.

I heard the weather forecast late yesterday afternooon before my class.."6-10 cm of snow". I pretty much felt something in my brain shift. Of course I then dwelled on the yucky, slippery, icey white stuff for the rest of the night. Master/Flex budget what? Allocating production and service departments...something or another. I dunno, all i heard was SNOW.

So, Anisa and I get up early this morning to ensure that we would be off and ready. 5 minutes down the 115...guess what vehicle hits a super slippery patch on top of the bridge that crosses Hwy 28. Woo-hooo!! I almost wet my pants. Yeah, so in the event that there was a vehicle beside us..(which there wasn't), there would have been a different theme to this story and it probably would have mentioned something about my truck being dragged out of a ditch.

Anyways....so on the 115 we went, me at the wheel driving 70 km an hour and crying until Kirby. Hey, I hate driving in the snow.

So, we get to the hospital without further delay. Guess who's at the hospital....? The National Ballet of Canada!! Anisa and I went downstairs after premeds and vitals. We met up with Miss Magaret adn hung out over sausages and hash browns. As we were leaving the Terrance, I could hear some beautiful piano music. Lo and Behold, there were ballerinas and dancers EVERYWHERE!!

Anisa and I went over to go watch...and where did Anisa go...onto the dancefloor. What did she start to do? Dance. So they let her! So, my kid danced with the National Ballet of Canada. I have pictures!!

We got upstairs and hooked up shortly after 11am. More visitors! Clutter and a family that we met at the conference in Toronto early in our MPS journey. They remembered us from this meeting that we had attended and it was wonderful to be able to chat and update about how some aquaintances in the MPS community were doing.

Miss Dana, the placement student from Humber was finishing her last day in the Child Life room today. Anisa and I will be sad to see her go, but wish her the absolute best in her future studies as she continues with her ECE. The world needs more Dana's!!

At 1pm, a small group led by Stacy and Andrea went back downstairs to watch the recital that was being put on by the ballet company. Anisa, danced, posed, clapped and had a ball. She kept saying "more ballerina?" !!

Back upstairs for some playtime, paint time and final goodbyes to Dana. I took a nap. I drooled on my own shoulder...pathetic!!

The drive home was pretty good. We didn't leave until almost quarter to 5pm, so the drive out was dark and super slow.

We were just outside of Peterborough, when I heard the words that made me want to go hyperspeed down the highway..."Mommy-Pee Now!". It's snowing like crazy, and there is waaay to much traffic to safely pull over to pee in the snowing rain muck.

Hold it please, just a little more down the road!!??!! My potty training brain pleaded to just get this kid outta the truck and onto a toilet!! So we sang, yelled and looked out the window for a very long 13 kilometers.

Anisa made it!!

Love,

Jenn
