I'm sure some of you are wondering what is going on with Andrew? He is going to the Armory on most days (mon.- fri) and on Monday he will start PT here at Sanford in Luverne. That will be nice ,since the Army says he can not drive till he has had OT training at Sanford in Sioux Falls to learn how to use hand controls. So for PT he will be able to drive his 4-wheeler there. We have been working with Sioux Falls VA, getting abunch of doctors appointments made, hearing, eyes, chiroprator, (ears nose and throat specialist) setting up with a primary care physician. Just basically making sure everything is documented for the future. Andrew is enjoying his freedom especially being out in the country on his 4-wheeler, soon he will be fishing all the time. I believe he will be fishing with Govenor Pawlenty and others for opening season coming up in May. He also has plans to go to Canada fishing with friends in May.

As for me I went back to work last week and it is good to see all the clients again. I also went back to Curves last week, I kinda got out of shape these last 11 months. Things are going back to normal around here. Anissa will be home from college on May 2nd. and soon Ashley will be out of school for the summer. Andrew is anxious to find a place to rent and get out on his own, which is understandable at his age.

This is my final entry into the Caring Bridge, it is time for us to return to normal. If any of you are looking to help wounded soldiers and their families, these are the organizations that helped us the most. Operation First Response (they come personally to Walter Reed and see what our needs are, we used them most for rides to and from the airport, they also purchase and set up air flights, and many other things) Fisher House Foundation (that is where we lived at on WR base. They do not recieve money from the government. Yellow Ribbon fund (we got our first car rental thru them) Hero Miles (they flew us back and forth almost all the time) we also used Air Compassion too. Hero miles will use any air miles you might have that are almost expired. Wound Warrior Program drove out the van for us to use while we needed it. The Patriot Guard (Ted and Ann) come to Walter Reed almost every week and see how you are doing and if there is anything you need. the list of organizations is endless, but so needed since the military does not pay for any of this

We would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, well wishes, and money to help us get through it all while I was not working. It is because of all of you, that we made it !!! The list is too enormous to thank everyone personally and I'm afraid of forgetting someone, but I do have to Thank the Sincerely Yours girls (Pat, Linda, Tracey, Meegan, Becky) for keeping the shop going while I was gone, and to Mark Jacobson for letting Jack have all the days off that he needed. So all we can say is, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You !!! The Hanson's
