Andrea’s Story

Welcome to Andrea Bozzi's Caring Bridge site. She asked me to create it to keep her friends and family updated. Andrea, John, Alex,  and Eric appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

Andrea was admitted to Abington Hospital on Friday, June 22, 2012 with a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) which is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells;characterized by rapid growth of abnormal white blood cells accumulating in bone marrow; interfering with normal blood cells.

We know Andrea as being a strong willed woman but she will need everyone's love, support, and prayers to battle this illness.

I have now moved to a post transplant status. The healing will continue. The battle is not done. I have so many more battles, but I see victory as the outcome at every opportunity. I want to plan life. I want to give back. I want to move forward. The next 6 months (180days) will be very telling. The long term effects of graft vs host disease will likely cause some issue, but with faith , love and prayer, I plan on achieving my goal and continue God's intended path for me. I thank you for your continued support and prayers.
