My Story

On 7/24/06 we were saddened to learn that Amber's AML (acute myeloid leukemia) had returned...just 16 months after she completed 6 months of chemo at Duke. Although this ugly monster of a disease has reared its ugly head again, we are plunging forward with alot of faith, hope & love that we can once again beat it down & beat it down for good.

Dear Friends~

Today I volunteered at the NA-YGN Golf Tournament.  This is the same tournament in which $8,000 was raised last year for one of my very special charities...Make-A-Wish Foundation.  The photo is right above.  This year, I am so very proud to announce that the Tournament raised over $12,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and once again, it was donated in memory of my beautiful daughter Amber.  So many emotions running through me and so very thankful that more children with a life threatening disease will have their wish come true.  It is truly a gift that Amber continues to live on in people's hearts and even in death, she is making a difference.

Andrew:  my special thanks to you.  But even words cannot express how much this means to our family.

I also want to make a difference and help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society find a cure.  Each dollar brings them closer.  Your support would be greatly appreciated.  If you can make a donation...even a small one...please click on the link below.  Thank you everyone!
