My Story

Welcome to Alyssa's site!! I was diagnosed at 7 weeks with biliary atresia and Dr. Kane performed my "Kasai" on 2/1/05. I have been a very sick little girl since I was born but on 7/29/2005 I got a life saving liver transplant from my grandma that has cured my disease! I am now 4 years old, at home, and doing wonderful!

Sorry for not updating sooner. I was trying to wait for biopsy results from the scope but still no word yet. Alyssa did well from her procedure. She was awake after an hour after it was over & she was in recovery & then an hour later was sitting up in bed playing, coloring, & eating chips. While she played she got another blood transfusion & that went well too. So thats it. Soon as I get biopsy results I will update again & let you know what it says.  27 days till Disney World!!
