So after 2 units of blood and a fresh batch of platelets and 48 hours of IV antibiotics Aleesha was set free!!! Dr. Don gave Aleesha the o.k. to go to her Singsation at Millard West on Saturday as long as she wears a mask when she's around people. She will still be very vulnerable to infections and with all the creepy crud that is out there we just can't risk it. She can perform IF she is up to it. We will just see where her energy level is at tomorrow and if she is up to getting on stage. I'm personally keeping my fingers crossed, I would love to see her up there charming the pants off everyone! They are performing at 5:30 so if anyone wants to take their chances and come on out we will at least be there for it! For now we are very grateful to be home and be able to get a full nights rest!!! Thank you for all the prayers! They worked!

    Blessings!

    Good morning,

I'm writing this from a room with pink walls decorated with cows doing various activities underwater. But I suppose I'd rather be looking at a swimming cow mermaid than a cold empty white wall when staying in the hospital. Its currently 1:42ish and I can't sleep, so I thought hey! Maybe I should write a little blurb or something! So here we go. Enjoy the blurb.

I was admitted Wednesday night after running fevers all day and feeling pretty crummy. I came to the hospital for some antibiotics and to get labs drawn. And apparently it wasn't a very good picture. My white counts were basically nonexistent (basically means I have no immune system) and my red count was also very low. Me and my moms hopes of scoring a normal people hospital room were quickly dashed as we were escourted to the land of pastel wall and aquatic bovine. That night I received more antibiotics and a blood transfusion. Over the night my constant fever relented some and my temp has been consistently lower which is good.

This morning I was dismayed by a folly of unfortunate news. Number one being the hospital served every kind of milk except 1%. Following in close second was that dr.don said the earliest ill be able to get out is Friday evening but he thinks most likely Saturday morning.
This being a huge damper because this weekend is my schools show choir competition that we host and I really don't want to miss any of it.
But I'll take what i can get. Third of the lessthanfavorable news was that my counts really hadn't improved at all despite the transfusion and shots I was receiving so that called for another transfusion today. My cough has gotten more frequent though the pain in my throat has subsided.

Although today had a plethora of unfortunate things, there was also many blessings. My mom was able to go home for a bit this morning while a good family friend stayed with me. I also made a vast array of crafts and my dad brought awesome steak and salad to the hospital for dinner.( there was supposed to be pasta but he forgot it at home.. But it's okay. I wont hold it against him.)

Im thanking this one day at a time. Tomorrow ( or rather later today) is a new day and Im thankful and will rejoice in this day the Lord has made. Whether its a good day or a bad day. I'm thankful.

This is another mom update. First let me say I'm typing this on a iPad and I'm very bad at it so my apologies! So this will be brief. Aleesha's was admitted into the hospital last night with low blood counts and possible infection. We are staying a few days and hope to get out by Saturday. Aleesha's has already received two blood transfusions and antibiotics and if everything goes well she will she may be released Friday evening. Keep her in your prayers.! God bless!
