Thrilled to hear everything is going so well!  You are an inspiration indeed!

Good luck with your college decisions.  Checking out Stanford, Cal Poly and California Lutheran this week for our 2 time cancer survivor.  Both of you will continue to impact so many others as they hear your stories and see the impact your faith has had on your outcomes.  You are such a wonderful beacon for Christ!

Aleesha,
As always, your words are written with humor and grace.  I love reading your entries and being reminded what a true "gift to gab" you have!  You speak of being silent? You are one that will always be heard. Your message to others is so much more than just words.
Writing that you are in a stage of transition is to be expected. Life continues to be a journey. I wish you knew how beautiful you are to so many people. Your prom pictures are breath taking! Your beauty comes from within, don't ever forget that!
Good luck today with your tryouts. Sing from your heart : )

What a way you have with words!  That was beautifully written and you've  "earned the right" to express the "flux" that you're in.  You've been through a lot and the emotional scars and scares will take time to heal, but you will keep "waking up" and continue to grow in your journey.  I still pray for you daily as I do my devotion.  Deb Gelvin keeps me posted about you as well.

Good luck with show choir tryouts.  I'm sure that you'll knock'em dead.

You are amazing and I so admire you, your spirit, your faith, your determination.  You are such a blessing to me.

I just know it will be great, and by then you should have at least a pixie cut, don't you think??? Have a wonderful summer...the healing will happen.  We love you...Pris and Lee

Dearest Aleesha and family,

I am TJ McDonald's mom, Kathy.  TJ has told me that you two have emailed each other.  That's great.  TJ is quite the fighter and is tickled that he has someone to share his experience with.

When you are first diagnosed,  time stands still and treatment seems like it will go on forever.  But time does fly and as you know, you are done.  Now all the followups.

UNMC is the greatest place in the world.  They become part of your family and cheering squad.  We have had Dr Coccia, Dr Harper and now Dr Gordon.  But have had Dr Don and Dr Beck while TJ had his transplant.  All the PA and APRNs, Mandi an Rebecca and all those angels called nurses. Also the Child Life dept and our Social worker, Sue have been invaluable to us.

It's amazing how many people's prayers help.  TJ has battled this twice and has come out on top.  Life won't be easy for him, but it will be a heck of alot easier than the last 4 years have been.  And as you Aleesha will find out, you have fought and won the hardest battle there ever is and you WON!!!  Now go out there and conquer the world!!!

Thanks for being friends with TJ.  Holler if you ever need anything.  Hugs and Blessings to you all.

Mom, I understand where Aleesha's  strength, faith, and determination come from.  Your posting today truly warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes.  I praise God for all that He has done and is doing in your precious daughter's life.  She is on my permanent prayer list and will be.  I truly believe in the power of prayer and our Heavenly Father.

I stand amazed at your patience, resilience and positive attitude.

May God continue to bless you as you are a blessing to others.

In His love.

Well, Mom...sure couldn't read that one without a kleenex.  It's so exciting to know the treatments are over and some normalcy can begin in the Liu household.  Your thanks to everyone was just absolutely the best, and from your heart.  You are truly an amazing Mom, and very blessed.  We will look forward to encouraging reports in the future, thank you and Aleesha for all the updates, hard as it was some time.  Love you all...Priscilla

Dear Aleesha and "Mom", so happy to hear the treatments are almost at an end and that life is beginning to have some normalcy in it again.  Loved the photos that Brady took and shared, you are beautiful, with and without that gorgeous hair that we all know will be coming back in soon.  Gutsy gal! Aleesha, I hope you are better today. We will keep praying for you to feel well. I found a couple of verses you might like. Some of God's promises.

Deut. 33:26 & 27     There is no one like the God of Jeshurun who rides in the heavens to help you, and on the clouds in his majesty. The eternal God is your refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you saying "Destroy him!"

Isaiah 43:1-2    But now, this is what the LORD says--he who created you O Jacob{O Aleesha} he who formed you O Israel {O Aleesha} fear not for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name, you are mine. When you pass thru the waters,I will be with you; and when you pass thru the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk thru the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Isaiah 46:4     Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he,I am he who will sustain you. I havd made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

We serve such a loving God. It is so good to have his promises.

You are such a blessing Aleesha!
