My Story

Welcome. I've put this site up to help me communicate to all of you in an easier and more timely manner, and so as not to intrude on other people's lives. I have not put this up to shield me from communicating with anyone. Recently I've begun to discover just how important that is. Please stay in touch through this website or directly.

Hello,

Well the journey is almost complete. And compared to many stories I have heard it has been so short.

I got the word last week that the bone marrow tests, even the special cyto-genetic ones, came back normal. So I am completely free of the Lymphoma!

I have my last chemo on Wednesday Aug 3. Just one last one to make sure there's no immediate rebound. The last one involved actual vomiting and generally wasn't much fun. So I'm not looking forward to it, but since its the last one that should take the edge off.

Then, its just a matter of going back for tests every 3-6 months and being sure it doesn't re-occur. If I'm still clear 3 years from now, I'm allowed to have a party (although I think one sooner than that is called for). If I stay clear for 5 years, then I am considered officially cured.

But I can't worry about the reoccurence now. All I know is that I'm clear and I'm darn happy about that.

Thank you ALL so much for your support. It has meant more than you will ever know. I have taken great strength from your words and prayers. Thank you.

Albert
