Aiden's Army added 1972 donors to the National Registry and contributed over $100,000 to cover costs. As of January 2007 we've learned of 4 completed transplants and 25 others that have been called as potential donors! Simply phenomenal!

Aiden had an MRI with sedation and about 6 tubes of blood drawn today at Hackensack. Our MRI was delayed almost 2 hours so that was a bummer. This is our routine 6 month check up. Aiden did great. In fact he had all the nurses in radiology laughing because he was so goofy once the 'sleepy medicine' was on board, and after the hour scan he woke up just as silly. Alexi also had blood work today for her yearly physical. She did surprisingly well! We will meet with the doc and nurse in a week and a half to discuss results and most likely decide that this was our last round of testing. Today they asked me if Tom and I were comfortable with this being 'the last' and I think we are.

NEWS ALERT: AIDEN IS (most likely) GOING TO BE ON AMERICAN CHOPPERS ON SEPTEMBER 4TH, 9PM, THE LEARNING CHANNEL (TLC). The other night I received a call as they were editing the taping that we participated in and they requested a picture that we had Paulie Jr. sign. So I believe Aiden is definitely on the show (and I think an interview they did with me may also be on the show)! Thanks again to Make-A-Wish and the OCC for inviting us to their special events! We are excited. Aiden was a total character when they taped this event, so it should be very cute.

Finally we just got back from two great weeks of vacation. We did a ton of things including Busch Gardens and a week in the Outer Banks, NC. The OBX has become our favorite vacation spot. This year Grandma and Grandpa joined us for some much needed R & R. Happy Anniversary to Grandma and Grandpa who celebrate 39 years on Saturday the 16th!

I'll update when we have our discussion in clinic. Enjoy these last few days of summer - boo hoo - school is just around the corner!
